Anti Bullying Programme

This year an awareness campaign against bullying in all forms has been launched by the 1000 Women Trust in the build up to the 1000 Women 1 Voice flagship fundraising luncheon that is being held at the CTICC on May 9th This event brings together 1000 women in unity as Ambassadors against violence against Women and Girls.

SOCIAL BULLYING

Using social manipulation to hurt peers or sabotage their social standing.

VERBAL BULLYING

Using words, statements and name calling to gain power a. control over the target.

SEXUAL BULLYING

Using unwanted words, actions or images about sex to target a person.

  • Sexual name calling
  • Crude comments

  • Slut shaming

PHYSICAL BULLYING

Using physical actions to gain power and control over the target.

  • Hitting

RACIST BULLYING

Racism where the bullying focuses on race, ethnicity or culture.

  • Behaviour that is hostile

CYBER BULLYING

Using the Internet or social media to hurt peers or sabotage their social standing.

  • Posting hurtful images

  • Shameful videos

1000Women 1Voice App

This app aims to provide a social platform for women across South Africa to share experiences in and discuss various topics such as entrepreneurship, health, relationships, safety, social issues and more.

The platform is run by and moderated by 1000 Women 1 Voice contractors and staff and is designed to be a safe space.
